about

Kim Migliore is a Zurich-based painter. She works intuitively and experimentally rather than according to a fixed plan. Often she begins a piece without knowing where it will lead, guided instead by curiosity, colour and emotion.

She paints on a large scale, drawn to the freedom and energy this approach offers. Music fills her studio as she works quickly and instinctively, often losing track of time. Her process is messy and vibrant, a mix of movement, reflection and clarity.

A trained graphic designer, Kim’s background is evident in her bold, striking compositions. Yet her paintings remain deeply personal, rooted in feeling and memory: moments in nature, encounters with people and lately the experience of motherhood. In her ongoing series Time Goes Fast and Slow, she paints simple, familiar motifs such as strawberries and fish, inspired by the world of children’s books she now reads with her daughter.

Her work invites viewers to slow down, notice the small things and feel joy in the beauty of everyday life. Each painting carries layers of colour and meaning that reveal themselves over time, much like life itself.

Kim welcomes visitors to her studio to experience her work in person.
